Zion translates to refuge, sanctuary, or stronghold. As I was hiking to the top of Angel's Landing and looking out over the Virgin River Valley, I understood why. Zion National park is full of incredible, vibrant, and colorful landscapes. The greens of the plants growing from the famous weeping red rocks, the calm blue of the river, the electric lime of the forest floor made a huge impact on me.
