I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve visited Great Sand Dunes National Park. I’ve even camped in the dunes for three nights at a time in the middle of summer—heat and wind included—because nothing can keep me from the beauty of this place. The prairie sunflowers, the strange little beetles, the soft whisper of wind against the sand—it all feels alive.
When I took this photo, it reminded me of my own form—curving, shifting, connected to the earth. So, I named it Changing Forms.
Our national parks are worth protecting. That’s why I’m donating a percentage of every national park artwork sold to the National Park Service—to help keep these incredible places thriving.
