I sat in front Aunty Sandy’s Banana Bread, a popular stop along the road to Hana (Maui), sharing a delicious, warm loaf of fresh baked bread with friends. 

I immediately felt this landscape was meant to be a painting. I was overcome with the variety of blues, greens, and violets that made up the water, the rich dark grey of the rocks, and the fading cliff sides in the distance. Even though the waves were energized and choppy, the space felt calm, stable, and serene. 

This painting made me lose track of time as it took me back to the magic of the island.
